A few days ago, I received a call from a friend who is a pharmacist in Toronto and has been in contact with me. His name is Dave. I’ve been on the drug for about 4 years. His first contact was with me at the Pharmacy at 5:00pm on Wednesday, April 21, 2013, and he told me that he is currently using Dapoxetine (Priligy) and the other two are “allopoxetine” (Priligy) and “escitalopram” (escitalopram). I asked him if he had any questions about Dapoxetine or the other two. He agreed to answer my questions. When he asked if I had anything to ask him, he told me he was not interested in discussing this with me.

When we talked, Dave stated that he had been taking Dapoxetine for about a year. He had had an allergic reaction to it when he was in the early 1990s and the only way to get his doctor’s approval was to get him to try it himself. This was not true. The Dapoxetine I was taking was for a number of different uses, including sexual dysfunction, sleep disorders, and mood disorders. I had been prescribed Dapoxetine for two different conditions and it was not clear if either of my conditions were related to this medication or if they were the result of the medication. Dave stated that he had been taking the drug for about a year, and it was never his first time taking it. I asked if he was aware of any side effects I’d had and he said that he was aware of the side effects that I was experiencing and that he was not aware of them. I asked him if he had any additional information, and he said he didn’t. The following day I called a pharmacist to check if Dave was taking Dapoxetine or if there were any side effects that he was taking, and we talked about the possibility of having an increased chance of side effects if he takes Dapoxetine. I asked if it was safe to take Dapoxetine and he said it was, but I asked if it was safe for me to take it if I was going to have side effects from taking the drug. He said that it was not safe, but he was willing to consider it if he wanted to have one. When we spoke, we were told that the side effects he had experienced were a result of taking Dapoxetine for several days and that he would probably be able to experience these side effects again. I asked if he had any information on what he would like to discuss with me.

I have had several questions from Dave, and he has been very helpful. I appreciate your time, and your time with him, and if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I am glad you are taking Dapoxetine and your questions have been answered.

I am very glad you are taking this medication. The side effects were not that severe. The side effects were that I was unable to take Dapoxetine and would not be able to do anything. It’s important for patients to take this medication as directed by their doctor.

This is just the beginning of it, and I hope that you are able to help. If you have any further questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to ask. Thanks again for your time.Last Updated: March 31, 2013, 2:55pm
